Our experience gathered over decades also forms the basis for the software , for example for practice-oriented visualisation of the measured data and comprehensive statistical evaluations. It is tailored exactly to the needs of strip production. The pass schedule memories are also quickly accepted by the users thanks to their ease of operation.
VGraph records up to 16 measurement parameters synchronously – e.g. thickness, width and speed of the strip, rolling force or strip tension – on a production line, stores the values and evaluates them statistically, such as for coil reports.
With statistical functions such as histograms, Cp and CpK values and error lists, VGraph provides valuable decision aids for the assessment and further use of the finished coils. The scanning rate of the measured value recording can be set down to 1 ms.
The optional FFT analysis allows the evaluation of periodically recurring events, e.g. for preventive maintenance.
In addition to the strip speed, VRecoS also records up to three further measurement parameters, such as the rolling force or the strip thickness at the mill inlet and outlet. The measurement protocols can be stored, printed out and sent by e-mail. The scanning rate of the measured value recording can be set down to 3 ms.
Both products can mask the leading and trailing ends of the strip (drop-off) over any length – even after acquisition.
The signals are recorded using a data logger with intrinsically safe 24-volt DIN rail technology included in the scope of supply. It transmits the measured values via a network to the Windows recording computer that can be provided by Vollmer or by the customer. The office version is available as an option with which the data can be accessed from other computers.
